Uncle Jerry was a special light and example for me as his nephew. Jerry was a mild-mannered, patient and caring uncle who was happy to take time to visit on the phone and to talk about what was going on. Of course we talked about the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs and Yankees / Royals. We took on the challenge of Skyping on the computer together with what computers we had at the time. In 2000 my family - Nancy, David (4) and Janelle (2) - visited Uncle Jerry and Aunt Pauline and enjoyed a special trip to Niagra Falls itself - up on the tower and on the Maid of the Mist. We also took our first international trip as we crossed over the Canadian border to Niagra Falls, CA to visit their son Mark and his family, as well as Lynne & Chuck Blanchard. I especially appreciate Uncle Jerry's commitment to serving his family, especially his wife Pauline. He maintained his marriage vows and his faith in God - making a strong impression for this husband and father of 2. To that I believe he would have heard the words, "Well done good and faithful servant"! on his arrival in heaven. Thank you Uncle Jerry for the example you have been for me and for the friendship we enjoyed!
