Obituary of Jason Hamby
Jason "Tipi Jay" Hamby, 45, passed away February 21, 2018. Jason spent most of his life immersed in his Ojibwe roots and culture. Traveling and teaching to share his wisdom and passion throughout his lifetime. He earned his nickname " Tipi Jay" from his crafting and displaying of tipis for different cultural events.
There is no one sentence that could perfectly encapsulate his sense of humor, just that he brought laughs and eye rolls everywhere he went.
He is survived by his mother, Faye Gray and stepmother Mona; children, Devan, Megan, Hayes, Tosh, Quinna, Julian and Nina; grandson, Rowan; siblings Helena, Melissa, Marcie and Will. He is also survived by his loving partner Kathy. He was predeceased by his father William "Ed" Hamby.
Friends may call Sunday, February 25th from 2-4 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where services will begin at 4 PM. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
