As we all know, information is rapidly evolving with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our staff & family is committed to keeping ourselves informed of the most recent guidance from federal, state, and local officials. We are also committed to keeping our community and families we serve informed as to how changes in policies will impact them, in regards to funeral services. So below we have posted the latest communications we have received from federal, state, and local officials, in regards to Funeral & Memorial services, during this pandemic.
NYS Guidelines for Religious & Funeral Services Restrictions as of 12/13/2021
Effective Monday, December 13, 2021 and remain in effect through Saturday, January 15, 2022, after which the State will re-evaluate based on current conditions. Mask requirement for all individuals (age 2 and above) entering your funeral home.
The guidelines still require those in attendance adhere to the guidelines including those related to social distancing and face coverings.
NYS Guidelines for Religious & Funeral Services Restrictions as of 5/19/2021
Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced.Business capacity is only limited by the space available for patrons or parties of patrons to maintain the required social distance.
The guidelines still require those in attendance adhere to the guidelines including those related to social distancing and face coverings.

The maximum occupancy for funeral homes is 50% (up from 33%) of the maximum occupancy for a particular area as set by the certificate of occupancy when available

FEMA Covid-19 Funeral Assistance
Effective April: To help ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the pandemic, FEMA will begin providing financial assistance for funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020 for deaths related to COVID-19. The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 policies were finalized on March 24, 2021.

How do I apply?
Applications can ONLY be made by calling 1-844-684-6333, Monday - Friday 9am-9pm EST
What funeral costs are covered?
All the costs from the Funeral Home, including cemetery expenses, marker or headstone, death certificates, and clergy or church fees.
Required Documents for the application?
Social security number of applicant AND deceased
DOB for both applicant AND deceased
Location the deceased passed
Address and phone number of applicant
Date of funeral contract
Information on funeral insurance policies or other funds
Banking information (if using direct deposit)
Official death certificate that shows the death occurred in the United States, including the U.S. territories and District of Columbia.
If the death certificate was issued between Jan. 20 and May 16, 2020, it must either 1) attribute the death directly or indirectly to COVID-19 or 2) be accompanied by a signed statement from the original certifier of the death certificate or the local medical examiner or coroner from the jurisdiction in which the death occurred listing COVID-19 as a cause or contributing cause of death. This signed statement must provide an additional explanation, or causal pathway, linking the cause of death listed on the death certificate to COVID-19.
If the death certificate occurred on or after May 17, 2020, the death certificate must attribute the death directly or indirectly to COVID-19.
If you are eligible for funeral assistance you will receive funds by direct deposit or a check by mail, depending on which option you chose when you applied for assistance.
