Emily B. Eliasz, 91, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 30, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Katherine (Stopera) Placek. Emily married Matthew Eliasz in 1948 and they were married for 33years, until Matthew passed away in 1981. She worked at Shredded Wheat during the war and she also owned and operated the Hawg Dawg for many years, until retiring. Emily enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards with her sister and feeding her birds. Emily was affectionately known as MA by everyone who came to the Hawg Dawg and Dave's Last chance. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Kathy Eliasz, Debbie (Eric) LeBay and David Eliasz; grandchildren, Eric, Nicholas (Liz) and Emily; great-grandchildren, Ciara, Aiden and Ameyliah; great great-grandchildren, Lilliana and Aliela. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Theodore Placek, Raymond Placek, Eddie Placek and Daniel Placek, and sister, Irene Rajczak. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 13th at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating.
