Chester A. Laskowski, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 27, 1925 he was the son of the late Jan and Antonina (Stopa) Laskowski. Chester entered the United States Army Airforce on July 8, 1943, serving with the 710th Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) as an Airplane Armorer Gunner during World War II. He participated in the Rhineland Campaign and the Central Europe Campaign. For his service he received the Air Crew Member Badge, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal W/2bronze Stars, Victory Medal, American Theater Medal, Air Medal W/2 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Good Conduct Medal. Chester was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on November 19, 1945. He is survived by his son, Richard W. (Linda) Laskowski; grandchildren, Deborah LaRock, Lisa(Jim)Keenan-Uschold and Kevin(Finacee Kim) Laskowski; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony (Helen) Laskowski and daughter in-law, Yvonne Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Edith (Roseberry)Laskowski; brothers, Walter (Victoria) Laskowski, Edward Laskowski and John (Alfreda) Lasky; sisters, Loretta (Edward) Litwinsky, Helen (Joseph) Pawelczak and Sophie Bailey. Friends may call Tuesday, October 13th from 11AM-1PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services with Military honors will begin at 1:00PM, with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will take place at the convenience of the family.
