Richard Drabczyk Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2021, under the care of his loving daughter and son in-law, June and Bill Fitzsimmons. He was the son of the late Andrew and Josephine Drabczyk and the beloved husband of Melva Drabczyk, who he enjoyed 52 years of marriage with. Richard was a proud United States Army veteran. He worked at Occidental Chemical company for 33 years, retiring in 1985. Richard was elected into the Niagara Falls Oldtimers hall of fame and the Niagara Falls Men's Bowling Association Hall of fame, where her was the past president. He loved collecting toys, having a Pez candy dispenser collection, along with his collection of spoons and Disney characters. You couldn't go down 19th street without slowing down to see his decorated yard, which he was very proud of. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth (Robert) Galliher, Richard (Lori Paonessa) Drabczyk Jr., Barry (Neomia) Drabczyk, June (Bill)Fitzsimmons, Jamie Drabczyk and David (Sam) Drabczyk; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Karen (Grover)Carr; granddaughter, Gabriele Galliher, several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday August 18th from 3-8pm at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, cor of Welch Ave. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 11 AM on Thursday August 19th at St. Michael's Cemetery, Mayflower & Saundersettlement Roads, Niagara Falls, NY, with reverend Ronald Maines Officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CEMETERY.
