Ralph A. Nicholas Jr., 95, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Born in Lockport, NY on November 2, 1926 he was the son of the late Ralph A. Nicholas Sr. and the late Edna (Harris) Nicholas.
Ralph moved to California in 1934. He returned to Niagara Falls, NY in 1945 and began working as a carpenter for Oxy Chemical. After 40yrs he retired from Oxy in 1988. Ralph was an avid bowler all his life until he stepped away from the sport last year for health reasons. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Nicholas. They were married for nearly 20 years and spent many of those years traveling, playing bingo and cards, and feeding the birds and wildlife in their backyard. He is also survived by his son, Ralph (Elaine) Nicholas III; 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Daniel; 6 great grand-children, Maya, Sagan, Wren, Eliot, Tyler, and Brayden; step-daughter, Darlene(Rich)Rowles. Ralph will be missed by many, including his neighbor and surrogate daughter, Clara, who provided love and support to Ralph and Betty for many years. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Jennie (Kaider)Nicholas in 2000.
There is NO PRIOR visitation. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
