Obituary of Walter Kowalski Jr.

Walter Kowalski Jr. passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 after a long illness. He was 88 years old. He was born in Niagara Falls on August 5, 1933, the son of the late Walter Sr. and Marie (Milczarski) Kowalski. He attended Town of Niagara School and graduated from Trott Vocational where he played football. Walter worked at Hooker Chemical until he was drafted in the Army, where he served 2 years in Korea and was honorably discharged. He returned to work at Hooker Chemical after his discharge. After attending Erie County Community College he opened up a business from 1961 - 1992, and it was called Kowal Construction. He also enjoyed motorcycling. Walter is survived by his beloved companion Patricia Pendola; his sons, Steven (Lynne) and Daniel Kowalski; granddaughter, Carly (Chris) Ferchen; great grandchildren Zach and Carina Ferchen; Patricia's sons, Paul and Frank Pendola; Pat's granddaughters, Jaclyn Pendola, Danielle Pendola, Mercedes Pendola, and Maria Pendola; as well as several nieces and nephews; and his former wife Pierrette Racine. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Alice Laska. There is NO PRIOR visitation. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. The family requests that any donations be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094-1231. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
