Obituary of Kenneth Nowak
Kenneth J. Nowak, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by his family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 6, 1940 he was the son of the late Walter F. and Louise (Moon) Nowak and attended local schools. Ken served in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged.
After serving his country he began working as a Mill Wright at Occidental Chemical Corporation until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, who especially loved playing golf. When Ken wasn't outdoors or playing golf, he also enjoyed crocheting, woodworking, going to dog shows and was a big supporter of dog rescue programs. Ken actually taught a few of his children how to crochet, along with his wife Pamela.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Hoey) Nowak, daughters, Tammy (Frank) Emmett, Lisa (Jim) Drabczyk, Kimberly Irizarry, Kim (Joe) Langman Sr., Catherine (Dave) Harbeson and Christine Harbeson; sons, Daryll Nowak, Johnathan Nowak, Christopher Nowak, Jake (Elaine) Nowak, Jeff (Carolyn) Nowak and John Harbeson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Nowak; brothers, Patrick (late Marlene) Nowak and Frank Nowak; sister in-law, Barbara(Raleigh Guy) Fiori. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his daughter, Wendy Nowak, brothers, Joseph Nowak and Gerald (Patricia) Nowak; sisters, Betty Lou Nowak, Jacqueline Pana and Beverley Pendus.
Friends may call Saturday, July 28th from 1-6 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services with military honors will begin at 5:30 PM with Rev. Stewart Lindsay officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
