Obituary of James S. Bannach

James S. ''Jim'' Bannach, 53, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital. He courageously fought a lengthy illness up to the very end, until being called home by our Lord and Savior. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 12, 1966 he was the son of the late James W. and Rosezella M. (Butler) Bannach. On January 16, 1993, he married Peggy Bussard at the Wintergardens. He was previously employed at North American Industrial Services as a Hydro blaster for 10 years, which allowed him to travel all over the country and he enjoyed it. He was formerly employed by Hutchins Automotive for 15 years, Walmart, Tops and Georgian House of Pancakes. An avid Buffalo Bills, New Jersey Devils and Bandits fan. He enjoyed playing darts, going to Disney World, watching wrestling and he loved music. He was a member of the Japanese Chin Care and Rescue effort. His life centered around family celebrations and the holidays. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, but especially by his dog- Elmo. He is survived by his wife, Peggy A. (Bussard) Bannach; Rich, Rob and Tom Duchesne; grandchildren, TJ, Emily and Meghan; sister, Martha (late Robert) Smiedala; nieces, Jennifer, Stephanie, Crystal and Gianna and his dear friends, Kevin Adamec and Joseph Folts. Friends may call Monday, January 6th from 5-8 PM & Tuesday, January 7th from 11AM-1PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 1PM on Tuesday January 7th with Pastor Curtis King officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers and to continue James rescue efforts.
