Obituary of Bonnie A. Poullos

Bonnie Ann Poullos, 56, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away suddenly on May 12, 2020. Born on May 4, 1963 in Niagara Falls, NY, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Peter and Jessie A. (Frosolone) Poullos. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY who attended local schools. After graduating from Niagara Falls High School, she studied to become an Administrative Assistant at Bryant and Stratton College. She returned to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, and worked as a Pediatric Nurse for the office of Dr. E. Gillick for many years. She went on to become a Registered Nurse, graduating from NCCC in 1999. Following receipt of her RN license, she worked at Buffalo General Hospital on the cardiac floor and Strong Memorial Hospital in orthopedic trauma. In 2004 she became an Emergency Room RN at DeGraff Memorial Hospital where she thrived, until an injury forced her into early retirement. Bonnie loved her job and co-workers at DeGraff Memorial dearly. When she wasn't working Bonnie was a homebody who enjoyed spending her free time relaxing, watching movies with her dog Bowdy whom she adored, and who was always by her side. She loved birds, especially parrots, and she owned several. She enjoyed regular visits with her sister and best friend, Patty, and looked forward to their morning coffee and daily chats. She was extremely close with her sons, who she loved more than anything in this world, and not a day went by where she didn't speak with them both. Bonnie is survived by her beloved sons, Jacob and Nicholas Taggart of Niagara Falls, NY, her sister Patricia (Poullos) Beckett also of Niagara Falls, NY and her brother Peter (Marie) Poullos of Harrison, ID. She was predeceased by one brother Robert Poullos. She is also survived by her nieces Tiffany (Carlos) Bradberry, Amy Poullos, Candice Poullos, Apryl (Matt) Lowe, Jennifer Mckindsey, Melissa Poullos, and one nephew Robert Poullos. She maintained a lifelong friendship with the father of her sons, Jeffrey Taggart. She is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great nephew. There is NO PRIOR visitation. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
