Obituary of William P. Powers Jr.
William P. "Bill" Powers Jr., 63, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 11, 1957 he was the son of the late William P. "Pat" and Sandra (Davis) Powers Sr. Bill's family owned a farm in Michigan and he worked the farm as a young man. He also raised pure bred beagles for hunting. He began his career at General Motors in January of 1977 at the stamping plant in Michigan. Bill was transferred to the Tonawanda Engine plant in 1994. He worked there until his retirement in 2005, due to health issues and settled on Grand Island. After Bill retired, he began his post retirement therapy at Frosolone Auto in Niagara Falls, NY in 2012, where he enjoyed spending time with friends. Bill was known by his friends, by many names; Mr. Bill, Bill Clinton, Slick Willy, Boca Raton Bill, Romeo Bill and Casanova Bill. He enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing and hunting. Throughout his hunting career, he harvested many trophy bucks. Besides his many friends, he is survived by his aunt, Florence (Jacob)Wolthius; uncle, Mike (Cheryl) Davis and cousins, Ruth Ann (Wolthius) Lockhart and Grace (Wolthius)Hook. There is NO PRIOR visitation. Burial with his parents, will take place in Mount Ever Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo, MI. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
