Obituary of Stanley J. Laroe

Stanley J. Laroe, 83, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Schoellkopf Health Center. Born in St. Albans, Vermont on June 7, 1937 he was the son of the late Joseph "Zeb" and Pearl L. (Longley) Lareau. Stanley entered the United Sates Airforce on May 9, 1958, serving during the Korean War as an AP/Air Policemen. For his service he received the Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Longevity Service Award. Stanley was honorably discharged as an A2C on June 1, 1962. After being discharged from the USAF, Stanley continued serving his country as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. He worked as a mail carrier for 20+ years until his retirement. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife, June L. (Robillard) Laroe; children, Renee (John) Petrishin and Stanley Laroe Jr.; granddaughter, Arianna Piccione and sister, Esther (James) Fitzgerald. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Carlton (Gloria) Laroe, Howard Laroe and Ronald (Loretta) Lareau and sister, Elizabeth "Betty" (Raymond) Cadieux. Friends may call Saturday, March 6th from 1-3 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services with Military Honors will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
